"The car is a 2 owner matching number car with only 60,000 miles.  I have all the build sheets, warranty papers, etc. I even have the original  dealers invoice and the original owners loan papers, $3,250 in 1967.  He put $50.00 down.  That's why I tried to keep the engine as stock looking as possible."

This car belongs to Brian Tetreault.  He has not provided a personal quote because he's very busy running a successful logging business (Tetreault and Son) in Massachusets.  I'm sure Brian will call us soon with some thoughts he wants to share with the rest of the Oldsmobile community.

1972 Olds 442

Engine: The engine in this car was a 455 overhaul completed by Mondello's.  Brian has since changed his mind and has opted to exchange his engine for another engine.  His engine will be a custom build and will probably be unveiled at the Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, New York sometime in May 2003.

"I purchased this car in 1989.  I never put a lot of money into it, it always ran great.  When the decision came to restore we invested a lot to make this beauty come back to life.  Thanks for taking the time to honor what car enthusiasts call their babies."

1970 Olds 442

Engine: 1970 455 +.030 461ci  built with a Mondello Overhaul Engine Kit assembled specifically for this customer  Induction:  Original Carburetor and Cast Iron Manifold  Camshaft:  JM-22-25-10 Rocker Kit:  SAR-455  Pistons:  Aluminum pistons  Trans:  Original 4 speed, rear gears are 3:42 ratio 10 Bolt Posi.
The car was purchased out of Watsonville, CA.  I found the build sheet on top of the gas tank when we restored it.  There was another sheet that was found under the seats that shows the paint color and trim requirements, which I have never seen before.  The car was built to race and had no extra options except an 8 track player which still plays like a champ.

"I want to thank Lynn and Joe for making available the parts and technology to have fast Olds power.
To move a car this heavy with ancient suspension technology takes horsepower.
Thanks again Lynn and Joe."

"Known as the Money Olds TIGER EATER race car, I have owned this since my father obtained it from the dealer in April, 1966.  I designed this motor for maximum durability, using the strongest parts, while making the reciprocating assembly much lighter so that it would rev like a small block.  Mondello was most helpful with this."

I've built the entire car myself including the engine.  I left the body and paint alone.
Thanks Mondello's."
